Some Facts About Me

A few basic facts and a few obscure tidbits about me:

I live in Trondheim, Norway

That night in Berlin, when they started to tear down the wall, I was there

I enjoy sportfishing (when I have the time)

During the day I lead teams developing and maintaining software

I’ve done the opera “Samson and Dahlila” by Saint-Saëns on a stage in Ashkelon, in Israel (as a part of the choir)

I run small hobby business providing Internet services

A few years of my childhood was spent at HaydomTanzania, Africa

For a few months I lived on the slopes of Kilimanjaro

I have two kids, a boy and a girl

Once I sung onstage with Take 6

A friend and I recorded an EP once. It was our own music, and we got played on the radio

By creating an entry for African time a while back, I managed to cause an argument on Wikipedia

I’ve got some siblings with partners.  I’m also an uncle

In my childhood, I once was a few meters from one of the most dangerous snakes in the world, a green mamba, in the wild

I created a computer game in my early teens, which actually became quite popular with my little brother and his friends – and later my own kids

I’m part of the choir SKRUK

A distant forefather of mine is King Harald I, Harald Hairfair. Coincidentally, I’ve performed for the Crown Prince of Norway and his Princess a couple of times (with SKRUK)

I’ve had the same piano teacher as this guy

..and I write this blog, mostly for myself, but if you look around you’ll get an idea of what I’m interested in
